CODE OF CONDUCT

TREATMENT OF OFFICIALS

All officials will be treated with dignity and respect.  Any other behavior will not be tolerated and will be cause for ejection from the game.  This includes profanity, name calling or any other negativity towards the umpire.  No warning is necessary for the official to eject a coach, player or spectator.  If you are asked to leave, YOU LEAVE!!!!!  If you do not leave, the game will not continue and may be forfeited at the sole discretion of the umpire.

Remember: All calls made by the umpire are final!

Anyone ejected from a game will be required to come before a meeting of league directors at a date and time specified by the league president to explain their actions.  All efforts will be made to be fair and equal to all involved.

If anyone is having trouble with any specific umpire, please notify the league directors immediately

Parental Behavior.

Don’t force your child to sign up. If he/she doesn’t want to play, not only will it be miserable for your child it will hurt the entire team as a whole.

Remember that baseball is only a game and is for the kid’s enjoyment. Cheer on your team, but don’t get carried away. There will be consequences!!

Never negatively yell at any player on either team for making a mistake.

Set a good example for the players by respecting the umpire and the other team.

Never enter the field of play.

Coaches Behavior.

Do not sign up to be a coach if you do not have adequate time to give to the kids.

Be as fair as possible and be sure that everyone gets a chance to play.

The players look up to you so set a good example. Show respect to all participants including the umpires and the opposing team and encourage your team to do the same.

Be sure that you teach the rules of the game to your players and teach them to follow all of them.

No coach may ever address, in a negative way, the coaches or players of the opposing team.  Use of profanity and foul language by a manager or coach will not be tolerated.  At the umpires discretion, the manager or coach may or may not be warned.  If the misbehavior continues, the manager or coach will be requested to leave the grounds, and if manager or coach refuses to leave, the game will be stopped, possibly forfeited and the coach must explain his actions before the board of directors

Player Behavior:

Baseball is a fun and enjoyable game and winning isn’t everything.

Play by the rules and respect your coaches. If it weren’t for them you wouldn’t be playing

Baseball is a team sport so encourage your teammates and do not get down on them if they make a mistake

Always be a good sport and shake hands after the game. Never under no circumstances resort to profanity and/or violence.
